NBIP Monitor offers insight into recent developments at NBIP

As of today, the NBIP Monitor is available. This overview looks back at the past period at NBIP and looks ahead to the near future. Among other things, it looks at the development of NBIP’s services and its ambitions for the coming years. The report also features interviews with staff and board members.

‘The past few years mark a transition for NBIP in which all services have been taken into its own hands,’ says Octavia de Weerdt, NBIP’s managing director. ‘In addition, NBIP started participating in European projects aimed at building a federated cloud infrastructure under the IPCEI-CIS banner. As a result, the organisation has grown considerably in terms of employees and responsibilities. Now that NBIP is firmly established in this new composition and set-up, we thought it was time to bring the past period to a close and already give a glimpse of what we are planning for the coming years.’

Unlike the annual reports issued by NBIP until 2022, the NBIP Monitor has a broader scope. This approach was chosen for good reason, says De Weerdt: ‘We think it is important for participants and other stakeholders to have a clear picture of what NBIP stands for and what our activities are. We also increasingly have a public function and it is important that both the sector and other stakeholders know what they can turn to us for and how to find us. We hope with this report to have made a good representation of where the foundation stands and what our plans are for the future.’
